Obama, a Democrat from Illinois, garnered 4,563 votes, or 75.9 percent, in the Iowa City Kids Voting mock presidential election Tuesday. He easily defeated Republican John McCain of Arizona, who captured 1,196 votes, or 19.9 percent.
